Lenny Marconi
is among the top Hunter and Equitation trainers in California. In 2007, Lenny trained some of the most successful hunters in the nation including “Angelo” and “Crown Affair”. He showed successfully at the prestigious Capitol Challenge, Devon, Harrisburg and Washington horse shows.
Lenny’s clients have been champions in most divisions
(Children’s, Junior, A/A and A/O) at major shows such as The Oaks, Del Mar, Pebble Beach and the Menlo Circus Club. 2007 also saw our clients winning top year-end awards. We congratulate each and every one of
them for advancing their riding goals.
In 2008, Lenny partnered with Trainer, Joey Pedroni and
Assistant Trainer, Mel Duffield at their new home at Edgemont
Farms.
Joanna ("Joey") Pedroni
is an incredible rider who
turned professional in August, 2007. 2007 also marked her
first time as a Grand Prix competitor at the Oregon High Desert
Classic. With this initiation complete, look for more Grand
Prix's in her future!
Joey has had a wonderful amateur career. She was a NORCAL
Equitation Classic Champion and has been a NORCAL, Hudson, CPHA
and Pickwick medal finalist many times. She was also named Best
Adult Rider at the Menlo Charity Horse Show and has received
multiple year-end awards in both the Jumper and Equitation
divisions.
Joey is a complete rider who has ridden Dressage and
Cross-Country in addition to Hunter-Jumpers. She credits her
riding foundation to many trainers, but in particular, to her
mentor, renown judge and world-competitor Sidley Payne, to whom
she was apprenticed.
Now as a professional, Joey hopes to instill that same level of
horsemanship and well-rounded education to Silver Lining's
clients.
Melissa ("Mel") Duffield
is a wonderful addition to
the training staff of Silver Lining. She's had a life-long
passion for horses and exposure to some of the world's best
riders, trainers and clinicians. To name but a few, these
teachers include: Sue Curry, David Adamo, Sidley Payne, Rebecca Cushman,
Brian Sabo, Dan Rawlings, Jan Ebeling and Axel Steiner.
Melissa's specialty is dressage; paying special
attention to the horse "as an athlete." She prides
herself on developing a customized program to optimize the
health, attitude and performance of each equine athlete. To
further aid her in this practice, Melissa has studied equine
Biomechanics and Chiropractic work.
When
not at Silver Lining, you can catch Melissa at Sonoma
State University where she is studying for her undergraduate
degree in Psychology.
